Italian cleaning lady throws away a masterpiece of art with trash

Oh, this is modern art! An Italian cleaning lady accidentally throws a piece of artwork into the trash.

When cleaning one of the galleries in southern Italy, the woman simply did not see the inconspicuous masterpiece of art. Without the slightest suspicion and a twinge of conscience, the cleaning lady brushed off cookie crumbs scattered on the floor near the fireplace, which, as it turned out later, were part of a special composition.

Lorenzo Roca, the head of the cleaning service company, tried to protect her employee by saying that she “just did her job” and counted the two crumbs with the garbage left over from the exhibition held in Bari on Wednesday . Its organizers later explained that the unique design work sent to the trash, cost about 10 thousand euros. Unfortunately for Rock, his company has no choice but to pay the crumbs thrown to the wind.

“We regret that this all happened,” Antonio Maria Vasile, a company spokeswoman, told reporters.

“Obviously, the staff simply did not realize the full cultural significance of the discarded two pieces of cookies.

But this incident once again confirms that the geniuses of creativity should correctly embody contemporary art, which should reflect the environment. In any case, the insurance company will cover all costs for damages. "

It is worth noting that the recent case is far from the first. In 2001, the composition of one of the most expensive and famous artists of our time Damian Hirst also flew into the trash. The cleaning lady who cleaned up after the Hurst exhibition, accepted the creation of cigarette butts, beer cans and empty coffee cups for garbage and without hesitation got rid of him. Then the artist reacted to the incident with humor. However, already three years later, another of his creations, this time perhaps the most famous, decomposed, so Hirst had to throw it away with his own hand and replace it with an author’s copy.

But the losses of contemporary art did not end there. The too compassionate cleaning lady of the Tate Gallery threw the exhibit from the exhibition of German artist Gustav Metzger.

The woman simply did not understand that the composition of paper and a transparent bag left in the corner was an art project.

Later, the artist’s creation was extracted, he complained about his unsatisfactory condition and without any difficulty made a copy. In 2004, even the world media wrote about this curious but sensational case.

Failed to avoid cleaning and another piece of art. One of the visitors to the exhibition Tracy Emin showed pedantry and perfectionism making a huge bedwhich stood in the center of the room.

As in previous cases, a man far from creativity and art simply did not realize that he had sent the artist’s works in vain.

The composition “My bed” was an unmade bed with scattered underwear. However, this small incident did not bother Charles Chaatchi, the owner of the world's largest PR agency, who acquired the sensational exhibit for 150 thousand dollars.
