These are the southern shores of the Sorrento Peninsula near the Gulf of Salerno.
The beauty here is extraordinary! Amazing views from anywhere in the Amalfi Coast. From the edge of the sea, stone terraces rise up, on which there are old mansions, churches, residential houses. Gardens turn green, the air is filled with aromas of lemons and oranges.

The small resort of Positano is located in three green valleys, protected from the wind by mountains and the sea. It was here that Homer "settled" the sweet-voiced sirens when he composed "The Odyssey."
Colored houses decorated with majolica from a distance look like children's toys lost in the grass. Fishing boats moor in the small port of Positano. The ensemble of a wonderful town is dominated by the church of Santa Maria Assunta. The mosaic dome of the temple was the first to sparkle at dawn and the last to cast reflections in the rays of the evening dawn.

In the church of St. Lucia, frescoes of ancient Italian masters are preserved.
The inhabitants of Praiano have been fishing for centuries. Here in each trattoria you will be served wonderful baked fish, and for dessert they will offer lemon cream melting in the mouth with local fruits.

The quiet resort village of Furore is formed by groups of houses built on the steps of a mountainous slope. Residential houses and temples stand among vineyards and olive groves. There is a natural miracle in Furore - a real fjord, the only one on the entire coast. A crevice in the coastal cliffs formed a bay into which the Skiato River flows. Along its course are water mills; there is a small beach on the shore. Above the gorge, at a height of thirty meters, a stone bridge is laid where the annual championship in high diving, high diving takes place. A narrow staircase leads to it from the beach.

The name of the town is translated as "sea bowl". The history of its foundation dates back to antiquity. For a long time it was a simple fishing village, and now has become a famous resort.
Konka dei Marini has retained its calm character - it is a quiet place with a beach holiday. A typical Mediterranean atmosphere reigns here: bleached houses, elegant balconies with variegated flower beds, lemon gardens on steep mountain slopes, a pebble beach. In Conca dei Marini is the world famous karst cave - Grotta dello Smeraldo. In the depths of the Emerald Grotto, a wonderful lake splashes. Under the sun's rays penetrating through the cracks in the rock, its water becomes bright green and floods the walls of the cave with a wonderful glow. At the bottom, if you look closely, you can see the scene of the birth of Christ.

The miniature city of Amalfi, comfortably located on a rock, is the "heart" of the entire coast. Neat houses are connected by snakes of narrow stairs; terracotta roofs grow gardens. According to legend, the name of the city was given in honor of the mermaid Amalfi - the wife of Hercules. After her death, she was buried in this land blessed by the gods.
The city is fully listed by UNESCO as "the world heritage of mankind." Residents of Amalfi cherish architectural monuments, the historical flavor of their land, keep the secrets of ancient crafts: making brocade, ceramics, handmade paper. The local Limoncello flavored liquor is famous throughout the coast.
Atrani

From Amalfi to Atrani - only 700 meters. The smallest commune of the Amalfi Coast lurks behind a stone cape. Snow-white houses built on a rocky plateau are “sandwiched” between the mountain slope and the sea. In the Middle Ages, noble families of the Amalfi Republic lived here. In Atrani, the Doges were crowned and buried.
The picturesque landscapes of the village and beaches have often been in kind for films, videos, commercials. Despite the elegant appearance of the old mansions, Atrani remained a fishing village. Tourists love the local restaurants for their excellent fish cuisine. Atrani's signature dish is the stuffed zucchini squash.

The archaeological complex of Villa Romana has been preserved here; in the center of Minori stands the basilica of St. Trofimena, existing since the XII century. The town has its own musical traditions: the summer jazz festival and the September festival of classics "Capri - Minori".
